Why is there a shipping/delivery charges ?

We can either pre-include the shipping/delivery charges into the prices of each of the items in our store or charge them separately.
Our management decided to set the shipping/delivery charges separately in order to be fair to the customers and to reflect the cost of shipping/delivery more accurately.
Irregardless of how many items are purchased and delivered to a single address in a single order, there will only be 1 delivery charges.
Otherwise by including in the shipping/delivery charges into the price of each item, customers who bought multiple items in a single delivery will unknowingly be paying for multiple delivery charges.
