HIK-CONNECT or EZViz Connection Setup

Depending on your model of DVR, there are also P2P features (EZViz or hik-connect) to allow for access that doesn't require the configuration.
Here's the guide.
EZViz (Older Model)

For the older models, it doesn't support both the EZViz and DDNS function at the same time. You'll need to choose 1.
If you use EZViz, your router will need to support the DDNS function in order to map the IP address if you are not on static IP.
HIK-CONNECT (Newer Model)
You can refer to the manual page 183 to set it up if your model supports Hik-Connect.

This will support both HIK-CONNECT Platform and
P2P/Cloud Platform functions that allows for configurationless router connection works this way.
1. The DVR establish a constant connection to the manufacturer server when there's a internet connection.
2. When you are viewing online, you establish the connection to the manufacturer server.
3. The manufacturer server link you and your DVR together and route the video to you. Depending on methods use to connect, most traffic will be routed through the manufacturer server.
4. This result in a likely slower connection as you may not be connecting directly to your CCTV system.
5. It is also highly dependent on the manufacturer server. If it's down/manufacturer decide to terminate the server, you'll not be able to connect.
6. We will not be able to assist in any troubleshooting. Either you can connect or you can't. We don't have access to the server.
7. There'll be no support for the P2P/Cloud Platform.
For system installed in 2019 onwards that supports HIK-CONNECT, we had assist to turn on the HIK-CONNECT feature for customers.
Customer just need to visit https://www.hik-connect.com/ to register for a HIK-CONNECT account or send us their HIK-CONNECT account id if they already have one and we'll assist to add it in for them without any charges within 2 weeks of the installation of the system.
